It is estimated that the southwest monsoon will reach the southern Andaman Sea and Nicobar Islands around May 29, 2024. The Meteorological Department has said that the monsoon is expected to reach Kerala on May 31. Now severe heat will be seen in North and North West India. Rain activities will continue in South India.

Get a solar pump installed at a super subsidy of 60%, know what is the government’s plan?

A large part of the country faces water shortage due to less rainfall. Due to this, farmers of these areas face a huge problem in farming. Here farmers have to depend on groundwater for irrigation of crops. Expensive irrigation equipment is needed to extract groundwater, which not every farmer is able to buy. To save its farmers from such a situation, the Rajasthan government is providing the facility of giving subsidy on installing pump sets in the fields.

The subsidy of pump sets is being given by the Rajasthan government under the “PM Kusum Yojana”. Let us tell you that through this scheme, 1400 farmers of the state will get benefit. The government will install solar pump sets in the fields of these farmers. With this, farmers will be able to irrigate their crops easily and for this they will not even need electricity.

The state government is giving subsidy of up to 60% to the farmers for installing solar pump sets. This facility will be available to the farmers under the “First Come First Serve” scheme. To avail the benefits of this scheme, visit the official website of PM Kusum Yojana and apply online.

Up to 80% subsidy will be available on installing private tube wells

Many farmers install private tube wells for irrigation. However, installing private tube wells is an expensive task, that is why the government is running a private tube well scheme so that ordinary farmers can also install their own tube wells. Under this scheme, farmers are given a subsidy of 50% to 80% on installing tube wells.

This scheme is being run by the state government for the farmers of Bihar. After installing tube wells, the farmers of Bihar will be able to irrigate their fields without any hassle. Summer season is a very challenging season for cattle farmers. Due to extreme heat, animals have to face many types of problems. Recently a special scheme has been started in the state of Kerala for the protection of animals. This is actually an animal insurance scheme, which has been started by the Ernakulam Regional Cooperative Milk Producers Union on the basis of heat index.

Under this scheme, farmers of Thrissur, Ernakulam, Kottayam and Idukki districts of Kerala will get benefits. About 25,000 animals in these areas will get the benefit of insurance cover through the scheme. Animal owners will have to pay Rs 99 per animal for the insurance premium of their animals. Out of this amount, Rs 50 will be taken by the regional cooperative union and the remaining Rs 49 will be taken by the beneficiary cattle farmers. For the amount of insurance claim under the scheme and important information about the scheme, please visit your nearest Animal Husbandry Department office.
