Mukhyamantri Kisan Videsh Adhyayn Yatra Yojana

To get the farmers of Madhya Pradesh exposed to modern farming techniques in developed countries and to provide them with practical information, a scheme is run by the Government of Madhya Pradesh, which the farmers can benefit from. The name of this scheme is Mukhyamantri Kisan Videsh Adhyayn Yatra Yojana.

Small and marginal farmers of all sections of Madhya Pradesh can take advantage of this scheme. The government provides 90% of the total expenditure, 75% to the Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes farmers and 50% to other farmers if selected under this scheme.

In the past few years, various teams of farmers have gone abroad under this scheme. During this time he learned advanced techniques related to advanced agriculture, technology, agricultural engineering, animal husbandry, fisheries in countries like Brazil – Argentina, Philippines – Taiwan.

Many welfare schemes are being run by the government for the farmers and with the help of these schemes, farming has also become much easier for the farmers. Kisan Credit Card is also included in these welfare schemes. This card is provided to the farmers by the central government. Recently, this scheme has also been linked to PM Kisan Samman Nidhi. With the help of this card, farmers can take loans at very low interest.

The government has decided that farmers can now take loans up to 3 lakh rupees without any guarantee with the Kisan Credit Card. Earlier, the limit of loans provided without guarantee was just Rs 1 lakh which was later increased to Rs 1.60 lakh. Now, this amount has been increased to Rs 3 lakh. The interest rate of 4% on taking this loan with Kisan Credit Card will be applicable when the farmers repay all their installments on time.

The Shivraj Chauhan government of Madhya Pradesh is preparing to build a farmer canteen on the lines of the army canteen specially designed for the army. It is reported that these farmer canteens are proposed to be opened in the A class mandis of the state. This information has been given by Madhya Pradesh Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel.

Agriculture Minister Kamal Patel said that ‘mandis with all facilities are being built. The farmer sells his produce in the mandis and takes an empty trolley and goes to the mandi. But now all the good quality items from fertilizer, seeds, household goods, petrol will be available in the mandis itself. The farmer will not have to wander from here to shop. Shopping malls will be built in the mandis.
