Temperatures have started rising from Punjab, Delhi to Gujarat, Rajasthan. Soon the temperature will rise rapidly in Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Maharashtra and Telangana as well. Temperatures can reach 40 to 45 degrees and the effect of heat wave will be visible in many places. There will be severe heat in Rajasthan and Gujarat. But, rain may continue in South India including West Bengal, Odisha, Bihar, Jharkhand, North Eastern states for the next few days. From April 18, a new Western Disturbance will once again bring clouds over the mountains.

Millions of people in India dream of starting their own business or expanding their existing one. However, lack of funds often becomes the biggest hurdle. Most banks and financial institutions ask for collateral before approving a loan. To solve this issue and support self-employment, the Government of India has introduced several schemes that offer collateral-free loans. These initiatives aim to empower small business owners, street vendors, and traditional artisans to become self-reliant.

Here are three major government schemes that offer loans without the need for a guarantor or collateral:

1. Pradhan Mantri MUDRA Yojana (PMMY)
Ideal for individuals wanting to start or grow a small business, this scheme offers loans under three categories:

  • Shishu Loan – up to ₹50,000

  • Kishore Loan – ₹50,000 to ₹5 lakhs

  • Tarun Loan – ₹5 lakhs to ₹10 lakhs

Now, a new category ‘Tarun Plus’ has been added, which allows loans up to ₹20 lakhs without collateral—provided the previous loan was repaid on time. So far, over ₹33 lakh crore has been disbursed under PMMY. Apply online at udyamimitra.in.

2. Pradhan Mantri SVANidhi Yojana
Launched during the COVID-19 pandemic, this scheme supports street vendors like vegetable sellers, hawkers, and cart vendors. The loan is disbursed in three phases:

  • ₹10,000 in the first phase

  • ₹20,000 in the second phase (after timely repayment)

  • ₹50,000 in the third phase

The scheme also offers benefits like interest subsidies and incentives for digital transactions.

3. Pradhan Mantri Vishwakarma Yojana
This scheme is designed for traditional artisans such as carpenters, goldsmiths, blacksmiths, cobblers, masons, and others from 18 specified categories. It offers:

  • ₹1 lakh loan in the first phase

  • ₹2 lakh loan in the second phase

No collateral is required, and beneficiaries also receive training, toolkits, and subsidies. The scheme aims to promote the spirit of “Vocal for Local”.

There is a possibility of snowfall along with rain in the Himalayan regions, due to which the weather may remain cold. Moreover, the deep low pressure area over the Bay of Bengal has now weakened into a low pressure area, which is expected to reduce the associated weather effects.

The Madhya Pradesh government has launched a remarkable initiative called the Mukhyamantri Seekho Kamao Yojana to empower the youth with skills and self-reliance. Under this scheme, young individuals are not only provided vocational training in various sectors but also receive a monthly stipend based on their educational qualifications—ranging from ₹8,000 to ₹10,000 per month.

With a goal to train over 1 lakh youth annually, the scheme offers practical exposure and financial support to help them build a stable future. The application process is completely online, and candidates aged between 18 and 29 years, with a minimum qualification of Class 12 or higher, and permanent residency in Madhya Pradesh are eligible to apply.

This scheme goes beyond traditional training programs by offering hands-on experience and monthly earnings, thereby increasing youth confidence and enhancing their chances of securing long-term employment. Deep low pressure formed in the Bay of Bengal, possibility of thunderstorm and rain in many states

The first storm and rain of the season is going to come in Delhi. Strong winds with thunder and lightning can also blow in some areas of Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Odisha, and Maharashtra including West Bengal. Hailstorm is also possible with rain at one or two places. Heat wave is at its peak in Rajasthan and Gujarat. Rain and thunder may also occur in South India. The deep low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal will weaken in the next 24 hours.
