In many villages of Amethi district of Uttar Pradesh, farmers are cultivating flowers on a large scale. Here farmers are cultivating flowers like marigold, rose and gladiolus. Farmers are also earning profits of lakhs from this. The government is also promoting flower cultivation and is also giving financial help to the farmers in the form of grants for this.
The process of registration has started to get subsidy on flower cultivation. Under this, farmers get different grants for cultivation of different flowers. 60 thousand rupees are given on cultivation of gladiolus, 40 thousand on cultivation of rose, 16 thousand on cultivation of marigold at the rate of per hectare. To take advantage of the scheme, farmers must get themselves registered as soon as possible. After the registration is completed, farmers will get its benefit on the basis of “first come first serve”.
