The name of this scheme is National Horticulture Mission and it was started in 2005-2006. The objective of this scheme is to promote the cultivation of horticultural crops. With this scheme, small and marginal farmers can get good production on less land. It is noteworthy that horticultural crops require less irrigation as compared to food grains. Symptoms: In this pest, only the caterpillar does the damage, in the early stage of the crop, the caterpillar eats the stalk, stem and branches of the young plant, often this caterpillar comes out during the night, and eats young plants by cutting them from the stem as well as it bored into the underground tubers as a result of this, the yield decreases, and the potato price is less in the market.

Control Measures: To control this pest, spray Tricel (Chlorpyriphos 20 EC) @ 1 litre per acre as soon as the infestation is observed.

There may be good snowfall and rain from Jammu and Kashmir to Ladakh, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. The area of cyclonic winds formed due to its effect will bring rain in many districts of Punjab including Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi and Western Uttar Pradesh. Minimum temperatures will increase in Central India including North India. Light rain may also occur in eastern and southern India from February 1.

Government will give 50% subsidy on buying buffalo goat

Today farmers in villages are earning through farming as well as through animal husbandry. In view of this importance of animal husbandry, now the government is also running several schemes with the aim of encouraging the work of animal husbandry in rural areas. Through these schemes, a substantial subsidy is also being given to the interested farmers to buy milch animals.

The Haryana government has invited applications for subsidy of up to 50% on the purchase of milch animals like buffalo, goats etc. You can visit the official website https://saralharyana.gov.in/ for online application. To apply for this scheme, the applicant will need Aadhaar card, family ID, pen card, bank copy, shed photo, own photo, and caste certificate. When you fill the form, it will be verified by the Animal Husbandry Department and if everything is correct, the loan will be given to the applicant.

Farmers will get Rs 35250, government will help in betel cultivation

In our country, betel leaves are used not only for food but also in worship. Many types of medicinal properties are also available in betel leaf, which is why its demand always remains. More than 100 varieties of betel leaves are cultivated in India. Farmers get good profits from its cultivation. Considering these merits of betel cultivation, the government is also encouraging its cultivation. In this series, the Bihar government has also decided to give bumper subsidies to the farmers of its area for betel cultivation.

Bihar government is giving this subsidy to the farmers of the state under the Paan Vikas Yojana 2023-24. Under the scheme, farmers will be given a subsidy of up to 50% for betel cultivation. Farmers of Aurangabad, Gaya, Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura and Vaishali districts of Bihar state can avail the benefits of the scheme. Only those farmers can avail of the benefit of the scheme whose land area is at least 100M2 and a maximum of 300M2.
