A deep low-pressure area has formed in the Arabian Sea. It will move towards the west coast of India and will give rain in Karnataka, Maharashtra, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. A new western disturbance will reach the mountains by January 6. There will be fog from Pakistan to Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, Bihar, Jharkhand, Orissa and West Bengal. Light rain may occur in Madhya Pradesh, North Chhattisgarh, South Eastern Uttar Pradesh and Jharkhand.
