El Nino is now in full effect. Rain activities are reduced in August. The break monsoon condition also persists. During the next few days, rain activities would remain confined to North West Bengal and Northeast states including Terai districts of Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. The weather in the rest of India will remain almost dry. Monsoon will remain weak over the rest of India and the next one or two weeks of August may see below-normal rains.
