There is a possibility of heavy rain in the northeastern states including Sikkim, Bihar, eastern Uttar Pradesh, Jharkhand, West Bengal, North Chhattisgarh and some areas of Orissa. The deep low-pressure area has now weakened and is being seen as low pressure around Jharkhand. The weather of North-West Central and Western India including the mountains will remain dry and monsoon will soon bid farewell from there. The southern peninsula will also see a significant reduction in rainfall activities.
