Due to the effect of low-pressure areas forming in the Bay of Bengal, heavy rains may occur in many parts of Orissa, South Chhattisgarh, Telangana and Maharashtra. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Kerala also. Gradually, rain activities will also be visible in West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand and East Uttar Pradesh. But Rajasthan and Gujarat including Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi will remain dry. The concern of the farmer brothers is increasing here. There will be some reduction in rain activities over the mountains and the risk of landslides will reduce.

In the early days of September, a low-pressure area may form in the Bay of Bengal which will move westwards and give heavy rains in Orissa, Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Telangana, Vidarbha, Marathwada including Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. It will turn towards the northeast while coming over Madhya Pradesh and then it can give heavy rains in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand as well. But its effect will not be visible in the coastal parts of western Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra. The weather in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi is also likely to remain dry. Monsoon may become active once again in South India.

Now monsoon will be active in many states from September 2

The monsoon has now become very weak. The effect of El Nino started becoming visible from the beginning of August and now it seems that the effect of El Nino will continue till the end of September. But from September 2, rain activities will increase in Orissa, Chhattisgarh, Vidarbha, Jharkhand and East Madhya Pradesh which will gradually move towards Uttar Pradesh and Bihar. There may be light to moderate rain in Punjab and also in the mountains. There may be some increase in rain activities in the southern peninsula also. The weather of Haryana, Delhi, Western Uttar Pradesh, West Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat and Rajasthan will remain dry.

Scattered light rain may occur over North East Bihar, West Bengal, Sikkim and Northeast states. Monsoon will remain weak over South India though rains may occur over Rayalaseema and some parts of Tamil Nadu. Monsoon may become somewhat active in September and its effect may be visible in East and Central India.
