The problem of leaf-eating caterpillars in Kharif onion crop and its control measures
About 50 percent loss has been observed in the crop from leaf-eating caterpillars (Spodoptera), the young larvae, after hatching from eggs, scrape the surface and eat from the outside. And as the larval stage progresses. Feeding on leaves, make irregular holes and in case of severe infestation, eat the leaves completely.
-
For biological control, take spray of bave curb (Bavaria bassiana 5% WP) @ 500 gm/acre @ 150 -200 liters of water.
