  • Symptoms of  Whitefly:- This pest causes a lot of damage in potato crops in both the stages of its life cycle i.e. nymph and adult.
  • They suck the cell sap out of cotton plant leaves and inhibit plant growth. These insects are also the cause for the secretion known as a sooty mold developed on the plant.

Union Agriculture Minister Shri Narendra Singh Tomar talked about increasing the income of farmers by opening 10 thousand new FPOs. He said these things at the inauguration ceremony of the Honey Farmer Producer Organization Program of the National Agricultural Cooperative Marketing Federation of India Limited held recently.

During this, the Agriculture Minister launched 5 new FPOs of beekeepers / honey collectors in 5 states under the Central Government’s plan to make 10,000 FPOs. These new FPOs have been made in Morena in Madhya Pradesh, Sundarbans in West Bengal, East Champaran in Bihar, Bharatpur in Rajasthan and Mathura District of Uttar Pradesh.

Mr. Tomar said here that “With the formation of 10,000 new farmer producing organizations, the lives of small and medium farmers will change and their income will increase considerably, whereas the sweet revolution will make India an important place in the world.”

2 crore farmers removed from beneficiary list of PM Kisan Yojana

Under the Pradhan Mantri Krishi Samman Nidhi Yojana, 2000 rupees of seventh installment has started to be sent to the bank accounts of the beneficiary farmers from December 1. However, now it has been reported that more than 2 crore farmers’ names have been removed from this scheme.

This step is being taken by the government with an aim to crack down on fake farmers. A few days ago, the number of beneficiary farmers on the portal of PM Kisan Samman Nidhi was close to 11 crores, but after this step taken by the government, this number has now come down to 9 crores 97 lakhs.

It is worth noting that the government puts an installment of Rs 2,000 in the bank account of farmers at an interval of every four months. So far 6 installments have been sent under this scheme and currently the seventh installment is being sent.
