Sugar mill owners to buy sugarcane from farmers for Rs 285 per quintal

A meeting of sugar mill owners and farmers of the area was held under the chairmanship of collector Mr. Saurabh Kumar Suman of Chhindwara district of Madhya Pradesh. During this meeting important decisions were taken from the suggestions of all the parties. In the meeting, it was decided that sugar mill owners would work for sugarcane procurement from farmers in Chhindwara at the rate of Rs 285 / quintal.

It was also decided in the meeting that after the increase in sugarcane rate in nearby Narsinghpur district, the rates will be increased in Chhindwara accordingly. Apart from this, it was also decided that the sugarcane mill in the district would have to purchase sugarcane giving priority to the farmers of Chhindwara district, after which it was agreed to purchase sugarcane of other district farmers. At the same time, sugar mill owners will be mandated to pay the purchase to farmers within one month of the purchase of sugarcane.

  • Management: For the control of thrips Fipronil 5% SC @ 400 ml / acre or Lambda Cyhalothrin 4.9% CS @ 200 ml/acre or Fipronil 40% + Imidacloprid 40% WG @ 40 gram/acre or Thiamethoxam 12.6% + Lambda Cyhalothrin 9.5% ZC @ 80 ml/acre or Spinosad 45% SC @ 75 ml/acre.
  • Biological treatment: – As a biological treatment, spray Beauveria Bassiana @ 500 gram/acre.

100 crore sent to 5 lakh farmers under Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana

Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chouhan has sent an amount of Rs 100 crore under Mukhyamantri Kisan Kalyan Yojana to the accounts of 5 lakh farmers with a single click during a meeting in Nasrullaganj of Sehore district.

Addressing this gathering, the Chief Minister said a lot about the development of the agricultural sector. In the midst of the current turmoil over the MSP, he assured the farmers that “things that close the mandis and support price system are misleading and untrue.”

  • This disease is caused by Alternaria porri, a soil borne fungus.
  • Symptoms of this disease initially are white brown spots that are purple in the middle which develops on the stems of onion leaves .
  • Infection of this disease is more when the temperature is 27 to 30 degree centigrade and humidity is high.

Chemical treatment:

Thiophene methyl 70% W/P@ 300 gram/acre or Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP @ 300 gram/acre or hexaconazole 5% SC @ 400 ml/acre or Tebuconazole 10% + Sulfur 65% WG @ 500 gram/acre or chlorothalonil 75% WP @ 400 gram/acre or kasugamycin 5% + copper oxychloride 45% WP @ 300 gram/acre.

Biological treatment:

As a biological treatment, use Pseudomonas fluorescens @ 250 gram/acre or Trichoderma viride @ 500 gram/acre.

The prices of urad, cotton, unripe, bitter gourd, wheat, indigenous gram, tomato, onion, cauliflower, brinjal, lady finger, maize, fenugreek, soybean and gourd in the Khandwa Agricultural Produce Market Committee of Indore Division, 1242, 5480, respectively 1350, 1541, 3899, 700, 856, 500, 1100, 1300, 1242, 500, 4125 and Rs. 528 per quintal.

Kisan Credit Card to be given to 2 lakh 68 thousand milk producers of MP

To increase the income of farmers, the government is promoting animal husbandry and fisheries. In this series, new milk cooperative societies are being formed by the government, as well as preparation is also being done to link the farmers credit card to provide loans to milk producing farmers and livestock farmers.

The government is running a campaign to connect farmers associated with milk cooperative societies with Kisan Credit Card and under this campaign, 2 lakh 68 thousand milk producers of Madhya Pradesh are being linked with Kisan Credit Card. Soon all these milk producers will be linked with the Kisan Credit Card.

  • The land should be properly prepared by ploughing  according to the need and it is advisable to make small beds simultaneously. 
  • In heavy soils, seeds should be sown without a lump. The sandy soil does not require much tillage. 3-4 ploughing  is sufficient. 
  • Watermelon requires fertilizer. For soil treatment, it should be done by using a soil samridhi kit before sowing. 
  • For this, mix 50 -100 kg FYM or cow dung with compost or field soil, and broadcast it on an empty field before sowing.
  • DAP @ 50 kg / acre + SSP @ 75 kg / acre + Potash @ 75 kg / acre broadcast at the time of sowing.
