The axis line of the monsoon is now moving towards the north. We estimate that now there will be heavy rains in Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and East Gujarat as well as East Rajasthan. Rain activities will continue in Maharashtra. Rainfall will decrease in Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. There is also a possibility of heavy rains in the northeastern states. Only intermittent rains may continue in western Rajasthan. Rainfall will increase once again in the mountains.
