The first low-pressure area of the month of December will form over the Bay of Bengal on December 5 and after strengthening it can also become a depression and move towards Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. Till December 10, no major Western Disturbance or Western Disturbance will reach the mountains.

Rain will start again in some states, see weather forecast

A mild Western Disturbance will reach the mountains in early December. Air pollution in Delhi and its surrounding areas will remain in the poor category. Some further drops in the minimum temperature will be recorded over North India including Delhi and Central India. In South India, light rain is possible over Tamil Nadu and Karnataka. In the first week of December, a new low-pressure area is likely to form over the southeast Bay of Bengal, which will further strengthen and move towards the east coast of India.

According to the IMD forecast, there is a possibility of further drop in the temperature in the coming week. Rain alert has been issued in some states of South India.

The Western Disturbance will not come for the next several days, due to which the winds from the north direction will reduce the temperature in more than half of India and winter will increase. Almost the entire country will remain dry, though light rain is likely over South India. Scattered rains may occur over Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala and South Karnataka. Fair rains are possible over Andaman and Nicobar Islands.

No Western Disturbance will affect the mountains for the next 1 week. Cold and dry winds from the northwest direction will reduce the temperature over northwest central and east India, leading to winter.
