Now there is a possibility of the formation of El Nino and chances of some reduction in monsoon rains are also visible. At present, there may be rain and light snowfall in the mountains till February 20. Day and night temperatures may increase over Northwest Central and East India.

Western Disturbance is going to come on the mountains again one after the other. Temperatures will start rising by the end of February, while heat waves are expected in March and April. From February 14, there will be a Western Disturbance over the mountains, due to which there will be snowfall from Jammu and Kashmir to Himachal and Uttarakhand including Ladakh. Snow is also possible in Arunachal Pradesh. Rain is also expected over Sikkim and Assam as well as the southern parts of Andaman and Nicobar Islands. After February 14, the temperature of Rajasthan, Gujarat, and Madhya Pradesh including Delhi, Punjab, Haryana and Uttar Pradesh may rise again.

Further, no rain activity is visible for the next 10 days, however, now due to northerly wind, the temperature may drop in Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Rajasthan, Gujarat and West Madhya Pradesh. After 24 hours, rain and snow will almost stop in the mountains. The weather in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Orissa will be clear.
