Monsoon will knock in Kerala in the first week of June. The rain activities will start in the early part of June itself. The winds that drive the monsoon towards India are now getting stronger and this is a good sign. For the next 3 days, there will be rain activities over the mountains including Punjab, Haryana, North Rajasthan, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and Northeast states and hailstorms may occur at some places with strong winds. In South Karnataka, there may be heavy rains in many districts including Bengaluru. Rain is also expected over Kerala, Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh and South Telangana.

Hurricane Mawar in the western Pacific Ocean will move towards Guam. Its effect will be visible in the monsoon winds of India. Cyclone Fabin in the Indian Ocean will weaken in the next 3 days. Dust storms will occur over North and Northwest India on the 22nd and 23rd of May and from the 24th of May heavy rains may start over East India including the entire Gangetic plains, Northeast India, Rajasthan, Madhya Pradesh and Delhi. There will be rain and snow in the mountains. Rain activities will also increase in South India.

There is a possibility of rain, thunderstorm and hail from Punjab to Bihar from May 22 or 23. Monsoon may soon knock over Andaman and Nicobar Islands. There is still some delay in the arrival of monsoon over Kerala.
