One after the other, two low pressure areas will form in the Bay of Bengal and will reach Rajasthan and Gujarat via Central India. Due to the effect of both of these, heavy rains will occur in most parts of Vidarbha, North Madhya Maharashtra, coastal districts of Maharashtra, South Madhya Pradesh, South Rajasthan and Gujarat. Heavy rains are also expected in Gangetic West Bengal including Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand and Odisha. There will be intermittent rains in Punjab, Haryana and Delhi. Heavy rains are expected in Uttarakhand. Monsoon will be less in South India but once again heavy rains will occur in the North Eastern states. Especially Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura will see heavy rains.

Heavy rains will occur in many states between 24 and 26 August

Two consecutive low pressure areas will form in the Bay of Bengal which will reach Gujarat and southern Pakistan via Central India. Due to their effect, heavy to very heavy rains may occur in Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, southern Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, northern central Maharashtra, Mumbai, Gujarat and southern Rajasthan including southern Sindh. There is also a possibility of floods in many districts of Gujarat during 25 and 26 August. There will be light rain in Delhi, Punjab and Haryana. Moderate rains may also occur in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand. There is a possibility of heavy rain in Uttarakhand.

Monsoon weakens, a new low pressure area will increase rainfall

Low pressure area formed in the Bay of Bengal will cause heavy rains in many states
