Animal husbandry and dairy farmers are getting huge grants, know the government’s plan

Animal husbandry and dairy farmers are getting huge grants

The Haryana government has made a special announcement while presenting the budget for the livestock farmers of the state. Through this, the government will provide financial help to the people for animal husbandry. According to the report, about 16 lakh families in the state have milch cattle. Many of these families are such that they do not have sheds or necessary arrangements for animals. Because of this, they have to suffer a lot. In such a situation, this scheme will prove to be a milestone for these families.

About 40 thousand applications have been submitted under this scheme in the state, which is related to the setting up of animal husbandry farms and dairy for milch animals. These beneficiaries will be given a grant by the government so that the financial problems of poor families can be removed. Apart from this, a scheme is also being run to promote the Sahiwal breed in the state. Under this, a grant will be given for setting up milk producing dairies of the Sahiwal breed. You can also get benefits by joining this state scheme.

Precautions to be taken while taking samples for soil testing

Precautions to be taken while taking samples for soil testing
  • Do not take samples from under trees, from bunds, low places, where there is a heap of manure, where waterlogged etc.

  • For soil testing, samples should be taken in such a way that the area represents the entire field, for this, at least 500 gm of the sample must be taken.

  • Select 8-10 locations for sampling, depending on the area of the field, by removing organic matter such as twigs, dry leaves, stalks and grasses from the top surface of the soil.

  • The soil sample should be taken at the same depth as the root depth of the crop to be planted at the selected locations.

  • Soil samples should be collected in a clean bucket or tank. Be sure to label this soil sample.

  • If the sampling area is large, the number of samples should be increased accordingly.
