Due to being the leader in the world in the cultivation of paddy and wheat, Indian farmers had reduced the cultivation of coarse grains. Still, its cultivation is also being promoted by the government. To spread awareness in this regard, the government declared the year 2023 as Millets Year of the Year. Now in this series, the Uttar Pradesh government will give subsidy on opening millet stores.

Through the Uttar Pradesh Millets Revitalization Programme, the state government is giving a subsidy of up to Rs 20 lakh on seed money for millets seed production, millets processing, packing cum marketing centre, millets mobile outlet and opening of millets store. To avail of this benefit, the application can be made by visiting the official portal of the Agriculture Department at www.agriculture.up.gov.in. The application process can be completed from 11 December at 12 noon to 16 December at midnight.

Farmers’ luck will shine with flower farming, government will give a 70% subsidy

National Horticulture Mission Scheme

For the economic empowerment of farmers, the government is greatly promoting flower farming. The Bihar government has also taken a big step in this regard. Under the National Horticulture Mission Scheme, awareness about flower cultivation is spreading among the farmers in 23 districts of Bihar state. Farmers are also being provided financial assistance by giving subsidies for flower cultivation.

Let us tell you that the state government will give a subsidy of up to 70% to the farmers for cultivating flowers. The official process of online application for this has also started. Under this, beneficiary farmers will be selected on ‘first come first serve’. Among flowers, the cost of cultivating marigolds per hectare has been fixed at Rs 40 thousand. Out of this amount, farmers will get Rs 28 thousand as a grant. The cost of cultivation of gladiolus flower on one hectare of land has been fixed at around Rs 1.07 lakh; in this, farmers will get Rs 75 thousand as a grant. Farmers wishing to take advantage of the scheme can apply on the official website horticulture.bihar.gov.in and get detailed information about the scheme.
