Along with agriculture and animal husbandry, many farmers also earn well by doing fish farming. Fish farming strengthens the rural economy, which is why the government also works for it in the interest of the farmers. Some state government also gives heavy subsidy for making ponds for fish farming.

The Rajasthan government gives 60 to 70% of the total expenditure as a subsidy to the farmers of the state for the construction of a 1200 cubic meters raw farm pond and plastic lining farm pond under the Kisan Farm Pond Scheme. To take advantage of this, farmers will have to apply on the portal of e-Mitra.

In Bihar too, up to 70% subsidy is available for the construction of ponds. This subsidy is received from the “Bihar Animal and Fisheries Resources Department” under the “Chief Minister’s Integrated Chaur Development Scheme – 2022-23”. Under this scheme, farmers can get a maximum subsidy of up to Rs 6 lakh 78 thousand 300.

Uttar Pradesh government gives a 50% subsidy to farmers for the construction of ponds under the “Pardarshi Kisan Sewa Yojana”. In this scheme, priority is given to SC/ST, minority and small/marginal farmers.

Farmers of this state will get immediate compensation for crop damage

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

Recently, there was heavy rain in many states of the country, due to which the farmers have suffered a lot. To make up for this loss, many state governments have announced compensation. In this series, the Uttar Pradesh government has also announced to provide compensation to the farmers of the state under the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana.

It may be noted that Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana is providing compensation amount to the farmers in lieu of crop damage from the years 2017-18 to 2022-23. So far, a total of 48.21 farmers have benefited from this scheme. At present, under this scheme, the Uttar Pradesh government has announced relief to the farmers who are victims of natural calamities. This money will be transferred to the farmers’ accounts on the basis of losses incurred.

Student Incentive Subsidy Scheme

Although women contribute a lot to Indian agriculture, but their contribution is not recognized because this contribution of women is mainly given to their families and all the credit goes to the head of the family. However, now many types of work are being done by the government to advance women in the agriculture sector.

To fulfil this objective, a scheme is being run by the Rajasthan government. The name of this scheme is “Student Incentive Subsidy Scheme” under which a subsidy of Rs 40,000 is given especially to girls for agriculture sector studies.

Actually, this scheme was already being run under which Rs 5000 was given to the girl students of class 11th and 12th, this amount has been increased to Rs 15000 this year. Undergraduate and postgraduate girl students used to get Rs 12000 which has been increased to Rs 25000. On the other hand, girl students doing PhD in agriculture used to get Rs 15,000, which has now been increased to Rs 40,000.

Farmers sometimes get tremendous yield, but due to not being able to store it properly, the crop gets wasted. In view of this problem of the farmers, the government is providing subsidy facilities to build storage houses. This subsidy is being given by the Rajasthan government to the farmers of the state. Under this, farmers are getting a huge subsidy of 50% for opening onion storage houses.

Please tell that only the citizens of Rajasthan can take advantage of this scheme. Apart from this, it is also mandatory for the applicant farmer to have at least 0.5 hectares of land. This scheme is for onion farmers. For more information about the scheme, do visit the nearest E-Mitra center. Aadhaar card, Janadhar card, copy of 6 months old Jamabandi is required for the application.
