The chances of rain are very less over Rajasthan and Gujarat for at least the next 1 week. Many districts of Maharashtra will also remain dry. Now there will be torrential rains in Jharkhand, West Bengal and northeastern states including Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Uttarakhand. There is also a possibility of heavy rains in East Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh. Monsoon will remain weak over South India. The effect of El Nino has started appearing over almost the entire country which may continue till September.
