Due to rain in many states of the country, people are getting relief from the heat. According to the Indian Meteorological Department, moderate to heavy rain is likely over Northeast India, Uttarakhand, Jharkhand, Bihar, West Bengal, East Uttar Pradesh, Konkan and Goa in the next 24 hours. On the other hand, there may be light to moderate rain in many parts of Odisha, West Uttar Pradesh, and Himachal Pradesh with heavy rain at one or two places. Scattered rain is expected over parts of South India, rest of North India and Madhya Pradesh.
