Nutrients are getting depleted from the soil due to these reasons

Agriculture is the only business in India which has been going on for centuries. In this growing era of modernity, many changes have taken place in the agriculture sector. Chemical fertilizers and low-cost formulas are being adopted to get more productivity and profits in less time. Due to this, the soil is gradually becoming weak from inside.

Apart from this, due to global warming, there has been a lot of change in the behaviour of the weather. Due to this, there have been floods and some droughts have been seen. Where about 80% of the farmers of the country depend on rain, due to this the most impact of the weather has been on the agriculture sector. In such a situation, to get the benefit, the farmers make many mistakes during the cultivation, which affects the yield potential of the soil.

The reason for the depletion of nutrients from the soil

  • The first reason for this is not to use cow dung, green manure or vermicompost in crops.

  • Indiscriminate application of fertilizers without soil testing

  • not cultivating according to crop rotation

  • cultivating a consistently high yielding crop

  • using saline water for irrigation

  • Deep ploughing, leads to depletion of zinc, sulfur and nitrogen in the soil

  • Do not close the weeds of the fields, due to which the nutrients of the soil are also washed away along with the water

According to government data, this situation has been seen more in the states like Punjab, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu. If these mistakes are not rectified, it will be difficult to stop the land from becoming barren.

Women farmers will get free moth bean seeds, as well as training will be done

Preparations for the Kharif crop are about to begin across the country. Farmer brothers will sow Kharif crops in the fields according to their region and climate. High-quality seeds are essential for good yields. In such a situation, the Rajasthan government has implemented a special scheme to benefit the women farmers of the state.

The state government has decided to provide free moth bean seeds to women farmers so that the production of crops can be increased. Under the ‘Mukhyamantri Krishak Saathi Yojana’, mini kits of certified seeds of moth bean will be given free of cost to small and marginal women farmers of the state.

Under the scheme, priority will be given to scheduled castes and tribes and women farmers living below the poverty line. Apart from this, women who have irrigation facilities available can also take advantage of this scheme. Along with this, farmers will also be trained for farming. The state government has issued instructions to implement the scheme.

Earn crores from sandalwood cultivation, keep these things in mind

Sandalwood is one of the most expensive woods. Due to its aroma and medicinal properties, it is in great demand in the market. You can become rich by cultivating sandalwood. By planting 600 sandalwood trees in one acre, about 30 crores can be earned in 12 years.

Keep these things in mind in sandalwood cultivation

Apart from the entire field, sandalwood trees can also be planted along the side of the field. Its plants can be planted in any month of the year. However, the thing to be kept in mind is that, while planting the plants, their age should be two to two and a half years. Also, the place where they are cultivated should be kept clean.

Full care should be taken that there is no water logging near the sandalwood plants. Let us tell you that sandalwood cultivation does not require much water. This is the reason why sandalwood trees do not grow well in low-lying areas. For this, keep the bund slightly above, so that the accumulation of water does not reach the roots of sandalwood.

Another important thing, sandalwood plants should not be planted alone. For the rapid growth of sandalwood, it is necessary to plant host plants. Host plants should be planted at a distance of 4 to 5 feet from it.
