Know why Sulphur is necessary in soybean crops?

For the past years, emphasis was being laid on the use of only Nitrogen, Phosphorus and Potash under balanced fertilizers. Due to lack of focus on the use of sulphur, deficiency of sulphur was found in the soil during soil testing. Sulphur deficiency is increasing continuously due to the use of sulphur free fertilizers like Urea, DAP, NPK and Muriate of Potash. Keeping this result in mind, it is very important to apply sulphur in the field.

  • Sulphur is an important element out of 18 essential elements required for proper growth and development of plants. It is very necessary to increase the oil content in oilseed crops. Sulphur is a secondary nutrient needed by plants in large quantities.

  • Proper nutritional management is very necessary for high yield of soybean, the demand of sulphur in soybean is maximum during seed filling. Because the amount of protein in soyabean  seeds is very high, the balance of sulphur and nitrogen nutrition is very important for proper protein formation in soybean during seed formation.

  • Mainly bentonite sulphur and conventional sulphur containing Fertilizers are used for sulphur supply in soybean crops. For quick and continuous supply of Sulphur in short duration crops like Soyabean, GROMOR SULPHUR 90% GR or GROMOR SULPHA MAX  90% GR @ 5 kg per acre can be applied.

soybean seed producer farmers will get Increased premium amount

The quality of the seed is essential for a good crop. However, not all farmers get quality certified seeds. In such a situation, the Rajasthan government is making many efforts to provide access to the farmers of the state. In this series of efforts, soybean seed production programs are being run by the state government. Through these, information related to the scheme is being given among the people.

Rajasthan government is providing incentive amount to the farmers on quality seed production. Along with this, the amount of premium being paid to farmers on seed production has been increased by Rs 500. Earlier Rs 500 per quintal was given, from now on seed production Rs 1000 per quintal will be given. That is to say, soybean growers will now get an additional amount of Rs 1000 per quintal on the MSP.

Under the scheme, private sector seed traders are being made authorized sellers of the corporation to promote seed trade. For this, the policy of slab based trade discount will be implemented on the basis of trade. Under this, the dealer who sells more seeds will be given more incentive amount. The purpose of these policies of the state government is to provide improved and certified seeds to the farmers, so that farmers can get improved crop yields.
