To increase the income of the farmers, the government is promoting the cultivation of all types of crops. These include the cultivation of fruits, flowers, medicinal and various types of spices. Grants are also given to the farmers as an incentive for their cultivation. In this sequence, the Madhya Pradesh government is providing grants for the cultivation of spice crops, for which applications have been invited from the farmers of selected districts of the government.
Under the ‘Spice Area Extension Scheme’, the subsidy is being provided for the cultivation of 11 types of spice crops. Coriander, cumin, fennel, fenugreek, carom seeds, dill, fennel seeds, parsley, fennel seeds and black cumin are included in this list. Farmers can apply under the scheme by selecting the given crops as per their wishes. Explain that the cost of cultivation in a one-hectare area has been fixed by the department at Rs 30,000. Accordingly, a grant of 40% will be given at the rate per hectare. At the same time, under the scheme, there is a provision to give a grant to a farmer for a maximum area of 4 hectares.
The process of online application started at 11 am on 16th September 2022. To take advantage of the scheme, you can apply online by visiting the official website https://mpfsts.mp.gov.in/ While applying, it is necessary for the farmers to have a passport-size photograph, Aadhar, Khasra No. / B1 / Patta copy, bank passbook, caste certificate etc. required documents with them.
