Dense fog will prevail over North Rajasthan including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand, West Bengal and North-Eastern states. North India will not get respite from winter right now. Temperatures will also fall in Maharashtra and Gujarat. The weather in South India will remain clear but there may be very light rain in the south of Tamil Nadu and Kerala.

Fog and cold wave havoc continues with rain, snowfall

There is a possibility of rain in Eastern India and North Eastern India. Light rain may occur in North Eastern states including West Bengal, Bihar, Jharkhand, Chhattisgarh, Orissa, and East Madhya Pradesh and moderate rain at one or two places. The current Western Disturbance will give light snowfall on the mountains but there is a possibility of heavy snowfall from January 26. Dense fog may persist from Pakistan to Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, West Bengal and Bihar. The weather of South India will generally be dry but light drizzle is possible at one or two places.

Roof Top Gardening Scheme

Today, if we look at the life of people in urban areas, it has become very hectic. City people do not have any time to go to the fields and do farming. But many urban people want to cultivate their own vegetables and fruits. Now the government is coming forward to help such people and is encouraging urban people to grow fruits and vegetables on their rooftops. The Bihar government has even started a special scheme for this.

The name of this scheme being run by the Bihar government is ‘Chhat Bagwani Yojana’, the benefit of which can be availed by common farmers as well as other urban people. Under this scheme, you can do gardening on the rooftop of your house and you also get government subsidy for this. Let us tell you that this subsidy is given for growing organic fruits, flowers and vegetables on the rooftop.

Under the Roof Top Gardening Scheme, people can avail subsidy of up to Rs 37,500 for organic fruits, flowers and vegetables grown on the roof of their house. People of cities like Patna, Gaya, Muzaffarpur and Bhagalpur can avail the benefits of this scheme. The government provides subsidies up to 75% of the cost of rooftop farming. Here, keep in mind that there must be 300 square feet of open space on your rooftop.

According to the information released by the Agriculture Department of Bihar State regarding this subsidy scheme, the total cost of a 300 square-sized farming bed comes to approximately Rs 50000. 75% of this amount i.e. Rs 37500 is given as a grant and the remaining Rs 12,500 has to be paid by the beneficiary.

Let us tell you that this update is regarding completing the e-KYC process for the scheme. Those farmers who have not yet done the required e-KYC for PM Kisan Yojana should complete it as soon as possible, otherwise Rs 2000 of your 16th instalment may get stuck.

Now very little time is left to complete the e-KYC process under the scheme. According to the news coming in the media, the last date for this has been fixed as 15th January. To do e-KYC, you can visit the official website of the scheme www.pmkisan.gov.in or you can also visit your nearest CSC centre or nearest bank branch.
