Government is giving bumper subsidy to farmers for farming

The government is running many beneficial schemes to help the farmers. With the help of these schemes, farmers also participate in farming with full enthusiasm and make India a food-rich nation. In the list of government schemes, the Uttar Pradesh government is running a special scheme for the farmers of its area. With the help of this scheme, the government wants to promote the cultivation of maize and sugarcane in the state.

Under the scheme, a subsidy will be provided to the farmers to cultivate both crops mentioned. Under the scheme, a beneficiary farmer will be given a subsidy for farming up to a maximum of 2 hectares. Let us tell you that the state government is giving its farmers a subsidy of Rs 2400 on desi maize, hybrid maize and popcorn maize. This subsidy is being given up to Rs 16000 per acre on baby maize and Rs 20000 per acre on sweet maize. This scheme will be for the next 4 years.

The dairy business is also promoted by the state and central government and many schemes are also being run for this. One of these schemes is the “Dairy Entrepreneurship Development Scheme” which is being run by many states with the help of the Centre. Farmers in Chhattisgarh can also take advantage of this scheme.

Under this scheme, farmers are given subsidies for the purchase of milking animals. To take advantage of this scheme, farmers have to apply. Interested beneficiaries can apply in their nearby veterinary institution – veterinary dispensary, artificial insemination sub-center, main village unit, veterinary hospital, artificial insemination center, main village block. Before the upcoming Lok Sabha elections, the government has given another big gift to the farmers. The Central Government has started a new scheme which can provide huge benefits to the farmers. Through this scheme, farmers can now avail loans against their grains kept in warehouses. Let us tell you that this loan will be given by the Warehousing Development and Regulatory Authority (WDRA).

To avail of the benefits of this scheme, farmers will have to keep their produce only in registered warehouses. Loans will be given to farmers based on their produce. It is noteworthy that this loan will be available at an interest rate of 7% and there will be no need to pledge anything for it. This complete information was given by Piyush Goyal, Union Minister of Consumer Affairs, Food and Public Distribution, on the occasion of the launch of WDRA’s e-Kisan Upaj Nidhi (Digital Gateway) in the capital Delhi on Monday (March 4, 2024).

Farming has now become very easy with the modern machines used in farming. The government also gives heavy subsidies on these machines so that more and more farmers use them and increase the production of their crops. The most modern machine now being used in farming is drones, with the help of which many farming tasks are done instantly. The government is also promoting this drone technology among farmers. The government is promoting drones among women farmers through a special scheme.

Actually, under the scheme of making women millionaires, the government will give 15,000 drones to the women associated with “self-help groups”. The government will spend Rs 1261 crore for this scheme. Under the scheme, 15,000 drones will be given to women’s self-help groups during the financial year 2024-25 and the financial year 2025-26.

With the help of these drones, it will become straightforward to spray fertilizers and pesticides in the fields. To enable women to operate drones successfully, they will be given 15 days of special training from a recognized RPTO. The drone pilot will be given an honorarium of Rs 15,000 and the co-pilot will also be given Rs 10,000 under the scheme. With the help of this scheme, women of “Self Help Groups” will get an extra income of at least Rs 1,00,000 every year.
