In this series, the Bihar government has also decided to give bumper subsidies to the farmers of its area for betel cultivation.
Bihar government is giving this subsidy to the farmers of the state under the Paan Vikas Yojana 2023-24. Under the scheme, farmers will be given a subsidy of up to 50% for betel cultivation. Farmers of Aurangabad, Gaya, Nalanda, Nawada, Sheikhpura and Vaishali districts of Bihar state can avail the benefits of the scheme. Only those farmers can avail of the benefit of the scheme whose land area is at least 100M2 and a maximum of 300M2.
