This scheme of fish farming will give great benefits, will cost 20 thousand crores

With the aim of promoting fisheries, the Government of India is running the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana. This scheme will help the fishermen to learn how to use new techniques in fish farming and will increase their income.

The demand for fish is increasing in the country and abroad and in view of this, in the coming five years, the government will promote the Pradhan Mantri Matsya Sampada Yojana in the whole country and will also spend Rs.20050 crore under this scheme. The government has set a target to double the limit for export of fish during this period.
