The depression forming in the Bay of Bengal is likely to bring heavy to very heavy rainfall to the coastal districts of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh, as well as Sri Lanka. Meanwhile, due to cold northwesterly winds, temperatures in North and Central India are expected to drop, leading to an increase in cold conditions. East and Northeast India will also experience a slight dip in temperatures.
With the Western Disturbance now subsiding, weather conditions in the mountains are expected to turn dry. On a positive note, there may be some improvement in Delhi’s air pollution levels.
