This disorder is caused by a deficiency of boron. Due to this disorder, the upper part of the flower becomes brown in color and the stem becomes hollow, in a more severe stage the flower becomes pink or red rot. Other symptoms of this disease include change in leaf colour, thickening of leaves, downward turning of older leaves and purple colour appearing on the edges of old leaves etc. are also symptoms of boron deficiency.
prevention measures
To meet the deficiency of Boron, take a spray of Boron @ 15 gm per 15Ltr of water. And boron @ 500 grams per acre should be applied through drip or broadcast 1 kg boron in the soil.
