Western disturbances are expected to arrive again from January 29 and may continue until the first week of February. Snowfall is likely to begin in the mountainous regions first. Meanwhile, there is a possibility of significant rainfall in eastern and southern India, including the northeastern states. Areas such as Assam, Meghalaya, Arunachal Pradesh, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, Tripura, Gangetic West Bengal, Odisha, Chhattisgarh, and several states in South India may witness rain. Some districts in Punjab could also experience rainfall, while the rest of the country is likely to remain dry.
