Transport costs of farmers are coming down by Kisan Rail

The ‘Kisan Rail’ was started by the Indian Railways from 20 August this year to transport their produce by the farmers. By this Rail, similar fruits, flowers, vegetables, milk and curd of farmers are quickly transported from one part of the country to the other.

This rail is proving to be helpful for small and marginal farmers to get better benefits from their agricultural products. Through this rail transportation costs are reduced significantly and also helps in wastage, safe and quick delivery. This is changing the livelihood of the farmers and they are prospering.
