The influence of El Nino on the monsoon has started increasing. Monsoon will remain weak over South India including North West and Central India for several days now. Interior Maharashtra and South India including Punjab, Haryana, Rajasthan, Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh will remain dry. Monsoon activities may continue over East and Northeast India. Drought-like conditions are increasing in many states of the country. There will be heavy rains in Bihar and East Uttar Pradesh.
