Farmers will get double profit from Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Scheme

The central government, which is engaged in making the farmers of the country capable in every way, keeps on implementing new schemes. In this series of efforts, the Union Agriculture Minister has approved loans of about Rs.9500 crores for 13 thousand projects. Under this scheme, agricultural infrastructure like cold storage and warehouse will be constructed. For this, the farmers who have come together through FPO will help in increasing the area and income of their farming.

Under the Agriculture Infrastructure Fund Scheme, the beneficiary farmers involved in these projects will be given 3% interest subvention per year. Apart from this, there will be a credit guarantee of up to Rs 2 crore for 7 years with interest subvention. To connect the farmers with new technology, arrangements will be made for custom hiring centres at different places, so that farmers of all levels can be associated with modern agricultural machines.

According to the Center, in view of the increasing pace of e-technology, it is necessary for the Indian agriculture sector to move in this direction as well. For the progress of the farmers, about one thousand mandis of the country have been linked to the Indian Agricultural Market. The objective of this scheme is to increase the income of farmers by connecting them with technology. Also, under this scheme, efforts are being made to provide necessary facilities like a warehouse, cold store, and packaging machines in every village of the country.
