Necessary spraying for proper growth, development and flowering in soybean

Necessary spraying for proper growth and flowering in soybean

Soybean is one of the major oilseed, pulse crops grown in Kharif season. Proper nutritional management is very important for high yields of soybean.

For proper growth and development in soybean –

Tri Coat Maxx – It is a plant growth stimulator. Contains Organic Carbon 3% (Combination of Humic, Fluvic , Organic Nutrients). Helps in good development of root and stem of plants and also increases the reproductive growth of plants.

Method of use – At the rate of 4kg Tri Coat Maxx per acre, broadcast with the nutrients given at that time.

For good flowering  and pod filling  –

Causes and Control Measures of Yellow Vein Mosaic Virus in Soybean

In soybean crops, damages ranging from 8 to 35% have been observed due to mosaic virus. The main vector insect that spreads this virus is the white fly. Symptoms of mosaic virus vary according to the variety of soybean crop. Due to its infestation, the leaves turn yellow and yellow-green spots are formed on the leaves. Due to incomplete development, leaves become distorted and appear curled up.

At the same time, the development of the plant is not done properly and the pods are not formed properly, due to which affects the production. For its control, first of all, it is necessary to control the sucking insect white fly.

for white fly control

  • For biological control, spray Brigade B (Beauveria bassiana 1.15% WP) @ 1 kg + silico maxx @ 50 ml, @ 150 to 200 liters of water per acre.

  • Apart from this, farmers should install yellow sticky traps @ 8-10 per acre, in the field to report pest infestation. This will indicate the pest outbreak, on the basis of which the farmers can save the crop from pest infestation by adopting the above-mentioned measures.

Bokhani problem in soyabean and control measures

Bokhni (Commelina benghalensis), it is a perennial broad-leaf weed, it is known in the local language as Kena, Bokanda, Bokhna / Bokhni, Kankaua etc. Apart from soybean, it is also seen more in crops like maize, paddy etc. It is especially difficult to control, as broken pieces of stem easily take root both above the ground and under the soil. For better crop production of soybeans, it is very necessary to do weed management from time to time.

damage caused to crops

It takes in air, water, sunlight, fertilizers, nutrients etc. to compete with the main crop. Due to which the growth of soybean is reduced and the plant remains weak, if it is not controlled in the initial stage, then 40 to 50% decline in yield can be seen.

Control measures

Mechanical method : For good production from soybeans, first weeding in the crop 15-20 days after sowing and second weeding 40-45 days after sowing is necessary.

Chemical method : For good control of Bokhani or Bokhna, use weedicide at 2 to 3 leaf stages Within 12 to 20 days after germination. Spraying of kloben (Chlorimuron Ethyl) @ 15 gm or Weedblock (Imazethapyr 10% SL) @ 400 ml + Silico Maxx @ 50 ml per acre, @ 150 – 200 liters of water. Use a flat fan nozzle while spraying and maintain moisture in the field.
