Rain will start in Vidarbha and Marathwada of Maharashtra from February 9 and will continue till February 11. There may also be rain in some areas from South Eastern Madhya Pradesh to Chhattisgarh and Telangana during this period. During the next 24 hours, there will be rain in the northeastern states including East Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, Jharkhand and West Bengal. From February 6, the weather in North-West India and Central India including the mountains will become dry.

Possibility of heavy snowfall in the mountains and rain in the plains

The continuous Western Disturbance will continue to cause heavy snowfall in the mountains. There will be rain in Uttar Pradesh including Punjab and Haryana from January 31. There is a possibility of light rain in Delhi and North Rajasthan also. Hail may also occur at isolated places in the northern districts of Punjab and Haryana. There will be a slight increase in day and night temperatures, which may provide some relief from the cold. There may also be rain in West Bengal, Jharkhand and Orissa from February 1.

Snowfall has started in the mountains, its intensity will increase from January 31 and heavy snowfall may occur in many places. Chances of rain in North India and heavy snowfall in the mountains

On January 26, there was sunshine in many districts of Uttar Pradesh including Punjab, Haryana, and Delhi, due to which the day temperature increased and the cold day condition almost ended. Day and night temperatures will gradually increase and there will be some relief from the cold. Three consecutive Western Disturbances will give good snowfall in the mountains. There is a possibility of heavy snowfall between 2nd and 4th February. Rain may be in many parts of Uttar Pradesh including Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, North Rajasthan, and North Madhya Pradesh between February 2 and 4. Andaman and Nicobar Islands may receive moderate to heavy rain during the next two days.

Severe winter continues, and chances of rain in many states

A new Western Disturbance has reached the mountains and due to its effect snowfall will start in the mountains from today. There may be rain in Gangetic West Bengal, Chhattisgarh, and some areas of Jharkhand including Orissa, Telangana and North Coastal Andhra Pradesh. The temperature of many states has fallen during the last 24 hours. Still, from January 27, the temperature of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, Rajasthan and Madhya Pradesh will increase by 2 to 3 degrees.
