A low pressure area remains over Arabian Sea and Bay of Bengal. Now, there is a possibility of waterlogging at many places with torrential rains in most parts of central India. There may also be heavy rains over the mountains including West Bengal, Jharkhand, South Bihar, South Uttar Pradesh. Light to moderate rains are very likely over Delhi, Punjab and Haryana and light to moderate rain over the west coast of the country.

Problems and control measures of fruit and shoot borer in brinjal crop

symptoms of damage:-

In the brinjal crop, the caterpillar of the fruit and shoot borer eats the inner pulp by piercing the stem.
If the pest was infested on the marginal branches, branches would bend.
The caterpillar attacks the fruit by entering it from under the florets in the tender stage and no signs of infection are visible.
The large holes that appear on the fruits are usually due to the exit of the caterpillar.

Control measures –

To control, take the spray of LAMNOVA (Lambda-cyhalothrin 04.90 % CS) @120 ml or FAME (Flubendiamide 480 sc) @ 60 ml or VIRAAT (CYPERMETHRIN 3 % + QUINALPHOS 20 % EC) @ 240 ml + Silico maxx @ 50 ml @ 150 to 200 liters of water per acre.
For biological control, spray Briged B (BEAUVERIA BASSIANA 1.15% WP) @1 kg/acre @ 150-200 liters of water.

The Low-Pressure Area over Dehradun will now weaken and move towards Gujarat. Now the rain will reduce in Orissa, Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh and Telangana, and the rain activities will be very less in Maharashtra. Heavy rains are possible over Saurashtra and Kutch as well as South Rajasthan. Light rain in Punjab and Haryana, heavy rain in Uttarakhand and almost dry weather in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar and Jharkhand.

Blast symptoms and prevention measures in paddy crops

Blast:- This disease of paddy is spread by a fungus named Pyricularia oryzae. This disease of paddy is very destructive. Small and bluish spots are formed on the leaves and their lower parts, and later these spots increase in size to become boat-like. The symptoms of this disease first appear on the leaves, but its attack also occurs on the leaf sheath, inflorescence,node and grain cover. Mainly: This disease is seen in the form of leaf blast, panicle blast and neck blast.

Control Measures:-

For its control, Spray Nativo (Tebuconazole 50% + Trifloxystrobin 25% WG) @ 80 gm or Force 11 (Tricycloazole 75% WP)140 gm + Silico Maxx @ 50 ml, per acre @ 150 -200 liters of water.
