ShareThe day of 23 December is dedicated in honor of all the Farmers of India. Every year on this day, ‘Kisan Divas’ is celebrated to express gratitude to the farmers. Significantly, today is the birth anniversary of Chaudhary Charan Singh, the fifth Prime Minister of India and the leader of farmers and poor.
Chaudhary Charan Singh ji had done a lot of work on land reforms in the country. As the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and the Finance Minister at the Center, he had made the budget keeping villages and farmers in priority. He believed that the farmer is at the center of farming, so he should be treated with gratitude and he should get the reward of his labor.
ShareA large amount of Rs 3 crore has been sanctioned by the Central Government for four districts of Madhya Pradesh under the Kadaknath Poultry Farming Scheme. These four districts include Jhabua, Alirajpur, Barwani and Dhar.
This huge amount of Rs 3 crore will be given to 300 members of 20 committees of these districts. Every beneficiary of this scheme will be given 100 days free vaccination, 100 chickens, medicine, granule, granule-water utensils and training. For the upbringing, a shed will also be constructed by the government at the residence of the beneficiaries.

The ‘Kisan Rail’ was started by the Indian Railways from 20 August this year to transport their produce by the farmers. By this Rail, similar fruits, flowers, vegetables, milk and curd of farmers are quickly transported from one part of the country to the other.
This rail is proving to be helpful for small and marginal farmers to get better benefits from their agricultural products. Through this rail transportation costs are reduced significantly and also helps in wastage, safe and quick delivery. This is changing the livelihood of the farmers and they are prospering.

ShareThere are often complaints between sugarcane farmers and sugar mill owners regarding payment. Sugar mill owners delay the payment too much and sometimes waiting for payment becomes too long.
To solve these problems, it has been decided to provide relief to sugarcane farmers from the government. The government has announced a subsidy of 3500 crores on sugar exports. This assistance amount will be deposited directly into the farmers’ accounts as payment of dues on behalf of sugar mills.

ShareAnimal husbandry farmers are often concerned about the loss of livestock. But now it has become possible to compensate for livestock loss through the Livestock Insurance Scheme. This scheme has been implemented in all the districts of Madhya Pradesh.
Under this scheme, a beneficiary can insure a maximum of 5 animals. In this scheme the number of 10 animals in sheep, goat, pig etc. is considered as one animal unit. This means that sheep, goat and pig spinach can insure 50 animals at a time.
