Heavy rain is possible in many districts of Rajasthan, Gujarat and Maharashtra including Madhya Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, Jharkhand. Heavy rain may occur in many parts of Punjab, Haryana, Delhi and Uttar Pradesh. Monsoon will remain weak in North-East India, the rain will remain light in South India as well.

The government is helping farmers by buying cow dung worth 100 crores

The government runs many schemes for the benefit of the farmers. Chhattisgarh government is also running one such scheme, under which a plan is being made to buy cow dung from farmers. This dung will be used by the government to prepare manure for agricultural purposes and to make vermicompost.

Apart from this, the government is also considering the possibility of making electricity from cow dung. Let us tell you that Chhattisgarh has become the first state in the country to start the procurement of cow dung. So far, the Chhattisgarh government has purchased cow dung worth Rs 100 crore 82 lakh from farmers and cattle rearers. The government is going to continue this process in future also.

Know about Mustard sowing varieties and essential fertilizers

Mustard is one of the major crops grown in Madhya Pradesh as an oilseed crop. If special care is taken in its sowing, varieties and necessary fertilizers, then production can be increased.

  • Sowing- Mustard should be sown from the last week of September to the last week of October. 

  • Normally for mustard, the distance of 30-45 cm from row to row and 10-15 cm from plant to plant shall be maintained.

  • Varieties- The yield, percentage of oil content and grain size are found to be good in certified varieties. The certified varieties of mustard are as follows-

Pioneer Mustard: V- 45S46, V- 45S42 , V- 45S35 l

Bayer/ProAgro Mustard: Kesari 5111, 5222, PA 5210, Kesari Gold.

Mahyco Mustard: MRR 8030, Bold Plus, Ulhas (MYSL-203).

Other varieties – RGN-73, NRCHB 101, NRCHB 506, Pitambari (RYSK-05-02), Pusa Sarso 27 (EJ 17), LET-43 (PM 30) etc.

Essential fertilizers- Apply 6-8 tonnes of FYM or compost at the time of field preparation. And DAP @ 40 KG  Urea @ 25 kg , Potash@ 30 kg  per acre as soil mix.

Rain likely to continue in Madhya Pradesh, see weather forecast

This time the departure of the monsoon is likely to be delayed. This will be the third consecutive year that the monsoon will depart late. Rain will continue over many parts of Gujarat and Madhya Pradesh including South East and South Rajasthan till the end of September. Monsoon will remain active over Northwest and East India for the next two to three days.
