Causes and prevention of little leaf of brinjal crop

It is a disease caused by mycoplasma. The disease is spread through leaf hoppers. This disease is also called sterile disease. This disease can reduce the yield of brinjal by up to 40 percent. Plants affected by this disease become dwarf in size. And there are other symptoms of the disease For example, there is a discolouration and rudiment of the leaves, or the leaves are deformed, small and thick etc. and the new leaves shrink and become smaller and the leaves seem to be stuck to the stem. Due to which brinjal plants do not bear fruit, even if fruits do come, they are very hard. The plant becomes bushy.

Management:

Remove and destroy infected plants Dip the seedlings in 0.2% Carbofuran 50 STD solution before transplanting (for control insect vectors) Spray Dimethoate 0.3%

For biological control, spray briged B (BEAUVERIA BASSIANA 1.15% WP) @1 kg/acre @ 150-200 liters of water.

Precautions to be taken in the use of insecticides

While spraying insecticides, use a safety kit, such as wearing a mask, glasses, hand gloves, and full clothes. Due to which the nose, mouth are closed well and there is no fear of danger.
If the nozzle is blocked, do not blow through your mouth. Do not suck water from your mouth.
Always buy insecticide from authorized shops and take a GST bill after buying it.
Keep out of reach of children and animals.
Use insecticides only after reading the leaflet that comes with the pesticide. With this, the danger of pesticides can be avoided.
Do not eat or smoke anything while spraying insecticides. Spray in the morning or evening.
Do not spray when a strong wind is blowing.
Do not throw empty cans of insecticides near animals and water.
After spraying insecticides, thoroughly dust the pump and also keep the safety kit clean.

Girls students are getting scholarship up to 15 thousand rupees, apply soon

Today, women are walking step by step with men in every field. The Rajasthan government is making many efforts so that their participation in the agriculture sector should not be reduced. In this series, the state government is providing scholarships to girls studying agriculture in the field of education, so that more and more women can join the agriculture sector during their education.

Under the scheme, this scholarship is available in agriculture from class 11th and 12th to Ph.D. are being given to the girl students. Under this, an incentive amount of Rs 5000 is being provided to the girl students of class 11th and 12th. At the same time, 12 thousand rupees are being given every year to the girl students doing graduation and post graduation in agriculture subject. In addition to Ph.D. 15 thousand rupees per annum are being given to the girl students doing this.

In this sequence, the Education Department has sought applications for scholarship from the girl students studying agriculture. For this, the interested students can submit their own SSOID. You can apply from the official website ‘Raj Kisan Saathi’, or can also apply on the e-Mitra portal. The problem and prevention of black rot in cabbage and cauliflower crops

Symptoms of damage

This disease is caused by a bacterium called Xanthomonas campestris pv. It is most destructive in cabbage and cauliflower. Symptoms of this disease usually begin with yellowing on the edge of the leaf. And ‘V’ shaped spots are formed and appear like cyanosis and soaked in water. Later the veins of infected leaves turn black, in case of severe infection, the disease also appears on other parts of the cabbage. Due to which the flower stalks turn black from inside and start rotting. Eventually rotten and die.

preventive measures

For biological control, spray Monas Curb (Pseudomonas fluorescens) @ 500 gm/acre @ 150-200 Ltr of water.
