Flood in Chennai due to Cyclone Michaung, crisis deepens in many states

Cyclone Michaung passed very close to Chennai due to which record-breaking rainfall was recorded in Chennai and its surrounding areas. Due to this, a flood-like situation has arisen in the entire city. This storm may hit the coast around Bapatla between Machilipatnam and Nellore on the morning of 5th December. When hitting the coast, the wind speed can be 100 to 110 kilometres per hour. There will be high waves in the sea. There will be rain over South Jharkhand including the Andhra Pradesh coast, South East Telangana, South Chhattisgarh, Orissa and Gangetic West Bengal. There is currently no western disturbance in the mountains. The weather will be clear from the mountains to northwest India.

The government provides expensive agricultural equipment to farmers at affordable rates by giving subsidies. This subsidy is given through the Agricultural Machinery Grant Scheme. Let us tell you that this scheme is also run under different names in the states. In Uttar Pradesh, it is providing help to the farmers in the name of the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme. Under this, agricultural equipment worth up to Rs 10,000 is available on subsidy. Power sprayers are also included in the equipment for which a subsidy is being given. With this scheme, you can buy a power sprayer at a 50% subsidy and for this, you will not have to pay any advance security amount.

If you are a resident of Uttar Pradesh then you can avail the benefit of the Agricultural Mechanization Scheme and get a 50% subsidy on power sprayers. To avail of this benefit, farmers can apply online by visiting the official website agriculture.up.gov.in. Besides, you can also get other information related to the scheme on this website.

Women will operate drones in the fields, government will provide 15 thousand drones on subsidy

Women will operate drones in the fields

The government is making people aware so that women should also come forward and take active participation in the field of farming. In order to increase the income of these women, the government has started many schemes especially to help women farmers. There is one such scheme under which women across the country can get drones on subsidy. The Union Cabinet under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi has approved this scheme. A total of Rs 1261 crore will be spent in this scheme in the coming two years. Through this scheme, women self-help groups will be empowered and the use of drones will also be increased.

Under this scheme, first such women groups will be identified who are economically capable of using equipment like drones. 15,000 drones will be provided to these groups. Let us tell you that for the purchase of drones, 80% of the total expenditure or a maximum amount of Rs 8 lakh will be given to women’s groups as financial assistance. Under this scheme, women farmers will also be given training in flying drones.

Training will also be given. In this, one eligible woman among the female members, aged 18 years and above, will be given training for 15 days. In which 5 days of training will be given for drone pilots which will compulsorily be taken by women. Besides, 10-day additional training will also be given on the use of nutrients and pesticides for agricultural purposes.

Now the whole world is slowly coming forward to promote green energy. India is also promoting many types of green energy sources for this. In this series, the Uttarakhand government has also launched a scheme to provide bumper subsidies of up to 50% to those starting solar water heater plants.

Let us tell you that under this scheme, domestic consumers can install plants with a daily capacity of 100 to 500 litres in their homes, on which they will get a 50% subsidy. In contrast, non-domestic consumers, including those in hotels and other residential buildings, can install plants with a daily capacity of 500 to 2000 litres. Plants can be set up at a subsidy of 30%.

Let us tell you that the Central Government also ran a similar scheme but it was stopped after 2014. Now the state government has once again started this scheme so that electricity consumption is reduced and the use of solar energy is promoted. The aim of the state government is that through this scheme the consumption of grid electricity will be reduced and carbon dioxide emissions will also be reduced.
