Government is giving subsidy on the cultivation of expensive vegetables

The government runs many schemes to help the farmers. Farmers also get a lot of help from these schemes. One such scheme is being run by the Bihar government for the farmers there. Under this, apart from traditional crops, cultivation of fruits, flowers and vegetables is being promoted among the farmers.

It is noteworthy that vegetables are cash crops and the Bihar government is trying to increase the income of farmers through it. The name of the scheme launched in this regard is “Vegetable Development Scheme (2022-23)”. Under this scheme, farmers are to be given grants for the cultivation of expensive vegetables.

The expensive vegetable crops for which it has been decided to provide subsidy on cultivation through this scheme include Broccoli, Color Capsicum, Seedless Cucumber and Seedless Brinjal. Let us tell you that the government will give a 75% subsidy in this scheme. To avail the benefits of the scheme, apply on the official website horticulture.bihar.gov.in.

And as a soil treatment around the plants, Dhanustin (Carbendazim 50% WP) @ 15 gm (according to the Directorate of onion and garlic research) or Carmanova (Carbendazim 12% + Mancozeb 63% WP) @ 15 gm (Indian Institute of horticultural research) 30 grams + Maxx-root @ 10 gm/15 litres of water, Drenching or deep spraying near the root zone of the plants so that the water reaches the roots of the plants.

Cyclone Michong, after hitting the Andhra Pradesh coast, has now weakened or remained as a deep low pressure over southern parts of Chhattisgarh and southern Orissa. It will weaken completely after 24 hours. Under its influence, there will be rain in Chhattisgarh, Telangana, North Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Orissa, Jharkhand, South Bihar and East Madhya Pradesh during the next two days. Rain will continue in South Eastern Uttar Pradesh and North Eastern states also. A drop in temperature will be recorded. Cold in the morning and evening will increase in North and Central India.

Crop Insurance Scheme will provide 50% subsidy, compensation will also be available on crop damage

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

The government is running many types of schemes to help the farmers in the country. One of the major schemes among these schemes is Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana, with the help of which farmers get compensation for crop damage. Under this, government subsidy is also given to recover from crop loss.

Under this scheme, the premium of insurance cover on Rabi crops is 1.5% and about 50% subsidy is given to help in recovery from crop damage. If we talk about Kharif crops, the premium for insurance cover is 2% and for horticulture crops, the premium for insurance cover is 5%.

Notably, the government started Crop Insurance Week on December 1. You can also get your Rabi crops insured under this scheme. Let us tell you that through the Prime Minister Crop Insurance Scheme, crop damage caused due to drought, flood, hailstorm, cyclone, insect and disease outbreaks etc. is compensated. Michaung cyclone hits Andhra Pradesh coast, causes massive devastation in many states

Cyclone Michaung made landfall near Bapatla, Andhra Pradesh between 10:00 am and 1:00 am on 5 December. When hitting the coast, the wind speed was 100 to 110 kilometres per hour. Heavy to very heavy rain was seen in many coastal districts of Andhra Pradesh including Chennai. There are reports of a lot of damage due to the speed of winds and heavy rains. Now the storm will weaken but heavy rains may continue in many districts of South Chhattisgarh and Orissa including Andhra Pradesh and East Telangana. There will also be rain activities in Bihar, Jharkhand, South Eastern Uttar Pradesh, Chhattisgarh, East Madhya Pradesh, Vidarbha, Marathwada and Gangetic West Bengal. Rain may also start in Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura after 24 hours.
