In the rainy season, farmers can earn a lot by cultivating fruits and vegetables. Among these crops, the cultivation of lemon can give good profit to the farmers. There is also a provision of subsidy on its cultivation by the government. Explain that the government provides a subsidy of Rs 30,000 to the farmers for cultivating lemons. By taking advantage of this subsidy, farmers can earn good profits at a low cost.

The Bihar government is making this subsidy available to the farmers of Bihar. The government is encouraging lemon cultivation among common farmers through this scheme. Farmers will get Rs 30,000 under the scheme in three instalments. Its first instalment will be Rs 18,000, while the second and third instalments will be Rs 6000-6000.

It is worth mentioning that the government has fixed the cost of lemon farming up to Rs 60,000 and the government itself is bearing 50% of this cost through subsidy. If you are a farmer in Bihar state and want to get a subsidy on lemon cultivation, then you can apply through the official website of this scheme http://horticulture.bihar.gov.in/HORTMIS/Home.aspx.

The government is giving 50 to 70% subsidy to farmers for planting orchards in one acre of land. If we talk about money, then this subsidy can range from Rs 25,500 to Rs 1.40 lakh. According to the government notification issued in this regard, subsidy will be given according to the fruit plants and the amount of subsidy will be received in three years.

This scheme helps farmers in calamities like rain, hailstorm, drought

Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana

Due to natural calamities like unseasonal rains, hailstorms, and droughts, the crops of the farmers are often affected. To avoid this, the Central Government started the Pradhan Mantri Fasal Bima Yojana. With this scheme, farmers can compensate for the loss of their crops. This scheme started in the year 2016, and so far crores of farmers in the country have benefitted.

How to apply?

You can apply for this through the bank and also online. To apply online, fill out the form by visiting the link https://pmfby.gov.in/. For its application, a photo and identity card are required for a PAN card, driving license, voter ID card or Aadhaar card. Apart from this, a document is also required for the address proof, for which the farmer has to show the documents related to farming and the Khasra number. A letter from the Pradhan, Patwari or Sarpanch has to be given for the authenticity of the crop sown. A cancelled check is also to be given so that the claim amount is credited directly to the account.
