Government is giving subsidy on the cultivation of expensive vegetables

The government runs many schemes to help the farmers. Farmers also get a lot of help from these schemes. One such scheme is being run by the Bihar government for the farmers there. Under this, apart from traditional crops, cultivation of fruits, flowers and vegetables is being promoted among the farmers.

It is noteworthy that vegetables are cash crops and the Bihar government is trying to increase the income of farmers through it. The name of the scheme launched in this regard is “Vegetable Development Scheme (2022-23)”. Under this scheme, farmers are to be given grants for the cultivation of expensive vegetables.

The expensive vegetable crops for which it has been decided to provide subsidy on cultivation through this scheme include Broccoli, Color Capsicum, Seedless Cucumber and Seedless Brinjal.
