Grant of up to Rs 31 lakh on opening a dairy, know what is the government’s plan?

Grant of up to Rs 31 lakh on opening a dairy

In Indian agriculture, after farming, the most profitable work is the dairy business. That is why most of the farmers keep cows or buffaloes in their homes. By rearing these animals, farmers are assured of daily income. Many farmers even earn a good amount of money by opening dairy farms. Many beneficial schemes are also being run by the government to encourage dairy business, the main objective of which is to increase milk production in the country as well as increase the income of farmers.

The Uttar Pradesh government is also running a special scheme which can prove beneficial for the farmers wishing to start a dairy business. This scheme is the ‘Nandini Krishak Samridhi’ scheme running under the ‘Nand Baba Mission’ started by the government. Under this scheme, the government is giving a subsidy of up to Rs 31 lakh for starting the dairy industry. Through this scheme, the government has set a target of starting a total of 35 units having 25 milch cows and for this, a subsidy of up to Rs 31 lakh will be provided to each unit. Interested farmers can apply to avail the benefits of the scheme. If the number of applicants exceeds then the beneficiaries will be selected through e-lottery under the chairmanship of “Chief Development Officer”.

Know how and why it is necessary to staking plants in tomato crop

Know how and why it is necessary to staking plants in tomato crop
  • In tomato cultivation, the farmer who has tied the plants gets a lot of benefits. If the plants are not supported or tied, the plants spread on the ground, due to which the outbreak of pests and diseases increases on the plants, as well as adversely affects the yield and the quality of production also declines.

  • In tomato cultivation, staking requires bamboo poles, iron-thin wire and twine for fastening the plants.

  • Ten-foot-high bamboo poles are erected at a distance of ten feet along the ridge. On these poles, an iron wire is tied at a height of every two feet.  After that, the plant is tied with wire, with the help of twine, which makes these plants grow upwards. The height of this plant goes up to eight feet.

  • This not only makes the plant stronger, but it also makes the fruit better. The fruit is also protected from rotting.

  • At the time of staking of plants in tomato cultivation, take special care that the plants should not be broken.

Critical stages of irrigation in mustard crop

Critical stages of irrigation in mustard crop
  • Mustard is a crop with a duration of 110-120 days, in this, the first irrigation should be done at the time of flowering i.e. about 30 days after sowing.

  • In this, second irrigation should be done at the time of pod formation or about 60-65 days after sowing.

  • When mustard is grown as a mixed crop, it is irrigated as the main crop.

  • In many areas, pure mustard crop is grown as a non-irrigated crop.

  • The mustard crop is very sensitive to lack of moisture in the soil during the flowering and grain formation stages. That is why irrigation is necessary 25 days after its sowing.

  • If it rains a few days before the scheduled time of irrigation, the crop should not be irrigated.

  • There should be a good drainage system in mustard crop fields.

  • The mustard plant is very sensitive to water logging conditions.

  • When only one irrigation is available, irrigation should be done only 30 to 35 days after sowing.
