If a single farmer is asked to do something big in farming, it will be very difficult for him. This process of working together is known as FPO i.e. “Farmer Producer Organization”.
Through this “Farmer Producer Organization”, farmers get everything from farming machines to fertilizers, seeds and other agricultural products at affordable rates. Due to this, expenses do not increase drastically and profits are higher. In today’s time, if small farmers work by joining “Farmers Organization”, they get a lot of benefits. If you want to create your own FPO instead of joining any organization, then for this you have to keep some important things in mind. For this you need Aadhar card, permanent residence certificate, land documents, photocopy of bank passbook etc.
To form a Farmer Producer Organization, you first have to form a group of farmers in which there must be at least 11 members. After forming a group, you have to think of a name for your farmer organization and register it under the Companies Act.
