Measures for identification and prevention of die back disease in chilli crops

Dieback:- Dieback is a major problem in chilli. This disease is caused by a fungus called Colletotrichum capsai. Yellow spots appear on the fruit of chilli. Due to which the fruit gets rotten. Due to this disease, the ends of the tender twigs rot backwards. The entire top of the branch or plant withers. Several black dots appear scattered on the surface of the affected twigs. The top or some lateral branches become dead or in case of severe infestation the whole plant dries up. Partially affected plants produce fewer and lower quality fruits.

Control measures

To control, spray Score (Difenoconazole 25% EC) @ 50 ml per 100 liters of water. Or spray Index (Myclobutanil 10% WP) @ 80 g + SilicoMaxx @ 50 ml per acre at the rate of 150 to 200 liters of water.

Get a loan on a huge subsidy from bank for goat farming

Goat rearing is the most popular occupation among the people in rural areas. People get good profits from this business through milk and meat at low cost. At the same time, their rearing does not require much care. In such a situation, the central and state governments are also promoting goat farming through many schemes. In this episode, a grant of Rs 2 lakh 50 thousand is being given by NABARD for goat rearing. Apart from this, there are also some Indian banks, which are giving grants of up to Rs 4 lakh on goat rearing, so that farmers and livestock owners can be helped financially.

Under the scheme, farmers and livestock farmers taking loans for goat rearing have to pay the loan at the rate of 11.20% every year. This facility is being given only for the rearing of good breed goats, with the help of which a farm of 10 goats can be started.

Under NABARD, there is a provision to provide a subsidy of up to 33% to the farmers and livestock farmers of the BPL category along with Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes. At the same time, a maximum of 25% subsidy is being given for the OBC category. This facility is being provided by NABARD-affiliated commercial banks, regional rural banks, state cooperative agriculture and rural development banks and urban banks, including state cooperative banks, etc. In such a situation, if you are also thinking of rearing goat, then soon take advantage of this beneficial scheme of the government.

Soybean pod borer

This insect causes a lot of damage to the soybean crop, the attack of this insect occurs in the early stage of soybean crop, first this insect first damages the soft parts of the plant, after that the soybean pod and Later damages the seed, this caterpillar enters the soybean pod and damages it by eating the pod.

Gram pod borers

Gram pod borers attack all parts of the plant, but they prefer to eat flowers and pods. Black holes appear on the affected pods and larvae are seen hanging out of the pods while feeding. The adult caterpillar eats the chlorophyll of the leaves, which causes the leaves to turn into skeletons. In the severe infestation, leaves break off and the plant dies.

Tobacco caterpillar.

The larvae of this insect scrape the leaves of soybean and eat the chlorophyll of the leaves, due to which a whitish yellow color appears on the eaten leaves. They also damage stems, buds, flowers and fruits when attacked excessively. Due to which only the sticks are visible on the plants.

Control measures

Spray, Plethora (Novaluron 05.25 % + Indoxacarb 04.50 % SC) @ 350 ml or fame (Flubendiamide 39.35% w/w SC) + Silicomaxx @ 50 ml, per acre @ 150 to 200 liters of water.

Identification and control of leaf folder pests in paddy crops

Leaf folder :- The female of this insect lays eggs in groups near the veins of the leaves of paddy. The larvae come out from these eggs in 6-8 days. These larvae first eat soft leaves and later, by making silky thread with their saliva, twist the leaf from the edges and eat it by scraping it inside. The outbreak of this pest is more in the month of August-September. Paddy leaves appear white and scorched in the affected field.

control measures

For its control, Spray Super 505 (Chlorpyriphos 50% + Cypermethrin 5% EC) @ 280 ml or Lamonova (Lambda-cyhalothrin 4.90% CS) @ 100 ml + Silicomaxx @ 50 ml per acre @ 150 -200 liters of water.

Buy HDPE beds on 50% subsidy to make organic manure

To promote organic farming, the central and state governments are running many schemes, so that more farmers can help in environmental protection by adopting organic farming. In this episode, the Madhya Pradesh government is giving grants to the farmers of the state on the purchase of vermicompost units i.e. HDPE beds for organic manure production. The objective of this scheme is to help the farmers at the economic level to manufacture organic manure.

Under the scheme, a 50% subsidy is being given to the farmers of the state on the purchase of HDPE beds. The per unit cost of 96 cubic feet (1242) for HDPE vermi beds has been fixed by the government at Rs 16,000. Accordingly, a maximum grant of Rs 8,000 per unit will be provided to the farmers.

The process of applying started on 16 August 2022. Interested farmers can apply online on the official website of the state government https://mpfsts.mp.gov.in/mphd. All the information related to the scheme can also be found on this website. If you also want to take advantage of this scheme, then apply soon without delay.
