Farmers begin receiving wheat procurement amount in MP, 200 crore given so far

It has been more than a week since the wheat procurement started in Madhya Pradesh on the support price. Now the farmers of the state have also started getting their wheat procurement money. State Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan himself gave this information. He said that “the process of sending the amount of wheat to farmers’ accounts has been started in the ongoing Rabi procurement work in the state. Approximately Rs 200 crore of the procurement amount has been sent to the banks. In the next 02-03 days, this amount will reach the farmers’ accounts. ”

Compared to last year, this time, twice the wheat has been sold through mandis. The Chief Minister himself was monitoring the work of Rabi procurement in the Ministry along with his ministers and other senior officials. Giving information related to the wheat procurement made so far in this meeting, it was informed that 81% of the purchases made so far have come from deal sheets. Under this, traders are buying wheat from the farmers’ house itself.

However, let us know that through the mandis, so far, twice as much wheat has been purchased as compared to last year. Till last year, 1.11 lakh metric tonnes of wheat were purchased from the mandis, while this time 2 lakh 14 thousand metric tonnes of wheat have been purchased so far.

Know the last date of purchase of wheat on support price in Madhya Pradesh

Chief Minister Shivraj Singh Chauhan spoke to the farmers of the state through a mobile message about purchase of wheat. He said that in the ongoing lockdown due to the Corona crisis, the government has started the work of purchasing wheat and other rabi crops at support price. He also gave other information related to the purchase in his message. He said that along with the mandis, private buying centers and traders have also been given the facility to sell from home through deal sheets.

The Chief Minister told the farmers that they should not worry, the government will buy every grain of your produce. In this message, he also discussed the last date of purchase. He said that wheat procurement will be done at the procurement centers by May 31 and farmers will be able to sell their produce by June 30 from the deal sheet. Along with this, the Chief Minister also asked the farmers to avoid corona infection and follow the lockdown.

Madhya Pradesh: Sowing target set for 144.6 lakh hectare in Kharif season

In this series, now the target has been set for the sowing of Kharif crops in Madhya Pradesh. This time, the target of sowing Kharif crops has been set in an area of 144.6 lakh hectares in the state.

Principal Secretary of Agriculture Department Shri Ajit Kesari has said that this time the target of sowing of soybean is in the maximum area of 60 lakh hectares. Apart from this, he targeted to be planted paddy in 31 lakh hectares, urad in 17.50 lakh hectares, maize in 16 lakh hectares, cotton in 6.50 lakh hectares, Pigeon pea in 4.50 lakh hectares, sesame / ram-til in 4.50 lakh hectares, groundnut in 2.50 lakh hectares, moong in 2 lakh hectares and other pulses in 0.10 lakh hectares.

How to do Seed treatment of cotton seeds before sowing

Start seed treatment with 2.5 gm carbendazim 12% + mancozeb 63% WP followed by 5 ml imidacloprid 48% FS and the next treatment with 2 gm PSB bacteria and Trichoderma viride @ 5-10 gm per kg seed.
These treatments have protection from fungal diseases and sucking insects along with phosphorus in the available condition which improves root growth.
Remember that fungicide should be used first, then insecticide, and finally bio culture.

Reserve Bank gave relief to crores of farmers, increased the date of repaying crop loans

The Reserve Bank has given relief to crores of farmers amid the ongoing nationwide lockdown due to Corona infection. This relief will be provided to crores of farmers of the country who take crop loans from banks through Kisan Credit Card. The Reserve Bank of India has extended the period for repaying the next installment of the crop loan to 31 May.

Apart from this, RBI has also provided relief in the interest rates of farmers. Now farmers can repay the next installment of their crop loan till May 31 at the old rate of only 4% per annum.

A letter was issued on Wednesday on behalf of the Reserve Bank on this subject. It has been clarified in this letter that along with the benefit of a three months moratorium on crop loans due to the Corona crisis, farmers will not have to pay punitive interest for three months.

Agriculture Minister Tomar attends discussion on the livelihood of farmers in the G-20 meeting

All countries of the world including India are troubled by the Corona epidemic. On the same burning issue of Corona, a meeting was held on Tuesday through a video conference between the leaders of the G-20 countries. Agriculture ministers of all the G-20 countries made their presence at the conference.

In this meeting, there was a big discussion mainly on ways to keep the food supply chain in the world smooth and to further the livelihood of the farmers. Union Agriculture Minister Narendra Singh Tomar was present in this meeting on behalf of India. The conference was chaired by Saudi Arabia’s Minister for Environment, Water and Agriculture Abdulrahman Alfaazali.

Union Agriculture Minister Tomar welcomed the initiative of Saudi Arabia to bring the G-20 countries on a platform to consider ways to ensure the continuity of food supplies, including the livelihood of farmers. Tomar discussed the exemptions being given to agriculture amid the ongoing lock-down in India and apprised it to all his counterpart agriculture ministers.

How to do soil treatment in Cotton crop?

After starting the cultivation process in cotton with deep ploughing, use a harrow 3-4 times so that the soil is friable and water holding capacity increases. By doing this, the harmful insects present in the soil, their eggs, pupa and the spores of fungi are also destroyed.
Soil treatment must be done so 4 kg of zinc solubilizing bacteria, 2 kg of Growmax (seaweed, amino acids, humic acid, and mycorrhiza), 2 kg of Trichoderma viride and 100 gm of NPK consortia bacteria in 4 tons FYM per acre mix well at the rate and spread it in the field.
By doing this, along with improving the structure of the land, complete development of plants and complete nutritional growth, it also protects against harmful soil-borne fungal diseases.
