A low pressure area is going to form again in the Bay of Bengal, due to its effect heavy rains are likely in Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka and Kerala. The outbreak of cold wave remains in North India. Frost is falling in Punjab including Rajasthan and Haryana. Temperatures are also below normal in Uttar Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh including Delhi. There will be no snowfall in the mountains right now but the temperature will remain very low.

How to prepare rabi paddy nursery

  • If you are going to cultivate paddy in Rabi season and want to prepare its nursery, then you have to select a 400 square meter area near a water source for transplanting in a one-acre field.

  • After this, do 2-3 dry ploughing with soil turning plough and apply 4 quintals of cow dung manure or compost manure in a 400 square meter nursery area and irrigate and leave it for 2 days.

  • After this use the cultivator twice it prepare the field and mix DAP 16 kg equally.

  • After this, plough the field, and after applying the plough, make small beds.

  • Keep the length of these beds 8-10 meters and the width 2.5 meters.

  • Leave a channel of 30-50 cm between two beds and sow the seeds evenly in the beds.

Low pressure formed in Bay of Bengal, heavy rains expected in many states

A deep low pressure area has formed in the southwest Bay of Bengal, which may take the form of depression while moving towards the coast of Tamil Nadu. It is not likely to become a cyclone. But there is a possibility of heavy rains in Tamil Nadu, South Andhra Pradesh, and South Karnataka from December 11. Rain activities will also increase in Kerala and coastal Karnataka on December 12 and 13. The weather has started getting cold after heavy snowfall in the mountains. Cold winds will now bring down the temperature from Punjab to Maharashtra. Cold wave and frost are expected in many states.

Nutrient management and control measure of root aphid in wheat crops

Nutrient management: In wheat crop at 20-25 days old stage, for good plant growth, Urea 40 kg + Zinc Sulphate @ 5 kg + Cosavet  (Sulphur 90% WG) @ 5 kg + Majorsol (Phosphorus 15% +Potassium 15% +Manganese 15% +Zinc 2.5% +Sulphur 12%) @ 5 kg, all mixed together and broadcast evenly in the one-acre area and do light irrigation after broadcast.

Symptoms of root aphid damage: This pest is found more from the month of November to February. These are transparent insects which are yellowish brown in colour with very small and soft bodies. They are present near the base of the plants or on the roots of the plants and suck the sap of the plants. Due to the sucking of sap, the leaves turn yellow or mature prematurely and the plant dies.

Control measures: To control this pest, apply with Fertilizer, sand or soil, Thianova 25 (Thiamethoxam 25 % WG) @ 100 gm per acre, before irrigation and Spray Media (Imidacloprid 17.80% SL) @ 60 to 70 ml + Silicomaxx  Gold @ 50 ml + Maxxroot (Humic Acid + Potassium + Fulvic Acid) @ 100 gm @ 150 to 200 per acre litres of water.

Farmers to Receive Solar Pumps with Subsidy – Here’s How to Apply

Reduce agriculture costs by installing solar pumps in fields and earn good profits

The adoption of solar energy in agriculture is steadily growing, and the government is actively encouraging its use among farmers. To promote solar energy, the PM Kusum Yojana is being implemented nationwide. In Rajasthan, a state-level farmers’ conference is scheduled for 13 December to commemorate one year of the current government. During this event, targets will be set to provide online administrative approval for solar pump plants for farmers.

Through this scheme, the Rajasthan government offers subsidies for solar pumps to farmers without electricity connections. Farmers can receive 60% of the total cost of 3, 5, 7.5, and 10 HP solar pump plants as a subsidy on a first-come, first-served basis. Additionally, farmers belonging to Scheduled Castes and Tribes will receive an extra grant of ₹45,000.
