The government is running several schemes aimed at increasing farmers’ income and ensuring their prosperity across the country. One such initiative is the ‘National Natural Farming Mission,’ launched by the Central Government. This mission aims to promote natural farming methods, improve soil productivity, and enhance the quality of agricultural produce.
As you may know, natural farming avoids the use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides, relying instead on organic alternatives such as cow dung, cow urine, and agricultural waste. These eco-friendly methods not only benefit the environment but also boost soil fertility.
Under this mission, farmers will receive training and technical assistance, along with awareness programs highlighting the advantages of natural farming. Additionally, Krishi Vigyan Kendras and local agricultural departments will provide ongoing support to farmers.
